Deaf Services Center supports and actively promotes consumer-informed choice in the assignment of interpreting services. When making a request for interpreting services, consumers may indicate their preferred interpreter(s). DSC will make every reasonable effort to secure the services of the stated preferred interpreter. If the preferred interprter(s) are not available, DSC will make every reasonable effort to contact the consumer to inform him/her of the situation allowing consumers to accept another available interpreter or choose to reschedule their appointment.
Within 24 hours of any assignment, consumers may call DSC to ask for the name of the interpreter assigned to their request.
The interpreting Department of Deaf Services Center strives to meet each of our consumer’s needs for interpreting services. In order to ensure the fulfillment of your interpreting request, we ask that you give as much notice as possible prior to the assignment date. In doing so, you increase the success of obtaining an interpreter at your request time.
